rrrrandomnessss.....

Well, hello! My original readers have probably noticed that my blog is now public. Newcomers, welcome! When you tire of my ramblings (which could happen very quickly) scroll down until you see "Other blogs to check out" and read those blogs instead. :-)

Anyways....hm.... not much is new in my life except that Tristan is starting to walk (!!!) and I have begun taking TKD (thats cool people talk for tae kwon do). It's quite fun, and Jack is considering doing it as well after school ends.

I'm starting to think about my sweet sixteen (which is in June). Ideas, anybody? Nothing very expensive, just something extra fun to do with all my friends. It has to include Chinese food and possibly a sleepover. hmm....

Yesterday evening some the homeschoolers got together for a STAND meeting. STAND is a student-led division of the Genocide Intervention Network. Find out if there's a chapter near you! Anyways, we are the first ever homeschool chapter. Yay us! Although there are several genocides taking place in the world right now (including abortion, although it's rarely thought of that way), we mostly want to focus on Darfur for the time being. Yesterday we made plans for a garage sale to raise funds and got an update on how things are going in Sudan right now. 16 aid agencies have been kicked out and now approximately one million Darfuris are now without necessities like food, water, and medical care. To read about the genocide in Darfur, what's been going on there for the past few years and what's happening now, go to http://standnow.org/learn/conflicts/darfur

Well.... that's all I can think of to post right now.
Toodles!
Katie :-)

Gods word is so important and i want to share with you his word because it is always truth and a couple of questions you can ask yourself?

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Gods word says we are sinners which means we have evil in us. Do you agree we are sinners as it says?

Romans 6:23 For wages of our sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ jesus: Gods word says our payment of sin is hell, do you agree with what God says?

Romans 5:8 God proved his love to us in yet while we were sinners Christ died for us: Jesus died on the cross to bear this punishment of sin
so that we could have forgiveness, but this forgiveness is a gift and is only given if you are willing to surrender turn from sin and give heart to Christ to follow Him. Do you agreE?

Romans 10:9-13 For if you confess with your mouth that jesus is Lord and beleive in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. If you beleive in your heart and mind with what Gods word says that we are sinners our sin deserves hell and that there is nothign good in us because of that sin and that Jesus died to carry this punishment and you wanana reiceve his forgiveness and follow him you can receive HIs Holy Spirit. Do you aree?

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace that we are saved and this is not of works: Its not doing good works that can save us but it is receiving christ first and then from that comes works. For just being "good" person is not good enough. Psalm 14:3 says for there is NO ONE who does good not even one. Do you agree?

you cant save your own soul, that what jesus did and you need to ask him to have your whole heart and that you want to follow him

In answer to your first few questions:
Yes, men are sinners.
Yes, hell is the punishment if we sin and don't do penance for it.
Forgiveness and mercy are gifts of God and we can earn them if we are truly sorry for having offended Him.

Now on the subject of being saved or not saved by works:
Faith and good works need to work together. James 2:24, 26 says "See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone...so also faith without works is dead." It isn't enough to simply believe, you have to make acts of faith and love by doing good works. We are saved by God's grace and only through His grace, yes. BUT only if we strive to deserve it.
"Work out your salvation in fear and trembling. For God is the one who, for His good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work."
(Philippians 2:12-13)

If anybody wants to follow me up on this, feel free to do so.
